Zoom lets you do a video call over the internet, so you can complete your consultation from the comfort of your own home. Video calls are nothing new, of course—Skype and FaceTime have been around for years. What makes Zoom different is its simplicity.

To start a consultation over Zoom, we simply send you a link. You click it, and you’re in the meeting. No username or password required. All you need is an internet connection. It’s that easy.

What You’ll Need for Your Consultation

Getting ready is simple. You’ll want a device with a webcam—a laptop, tablet, or smartphone all work—and a stable internet connection. Find a quiet, private spot where you can talk freely about your wishes. If you already have an estate plan, keep those documents handy so we can review them together on screen. That’s really all it takes to get started.

Perfect for Reviewing Your Existing Plan

We’re finding this format is perfect for returning clients who want to review their existing documents. During the online meeting, we simply pull up the old trust or will on screen and discuss what needs to change.

Of course, many clients still prefer to meet in person, and we completely understand. We remain happy to accommodate that. But we’d like to make video estate planning consultations an option, as part of our mission to make estate planning as accessible as possible.
