As a Shea Law attorney, Allison Stevens provides clients with a mix of personal counseling and professional expertise that enables them to make thoughtful and informed decisions about their estate plan. She is keenly aware of the fact that her work touches on issues that affect literally everyone, and she is deeply passionate about making sure that everyone has the opportunity to create an estate plan that meets their needs.

Allison first joined Shea in 2013 as a legal assistant during her final year of law school, the capstone on an educational journey that also saw her intern at the Wayne County Corporation Counsel, assisting in the Labor and Employment Division and defending Wayne County and the City of Detroit in civil actions. She successfully mediated dozens of small claims and labor dispute cases in Southeastern Michigan and she remains a trained and state-certified mediator.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Law & Economics with a minor in Public Administration from Central Michigan University in 2011, and she attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, graduating in 2014.

Allison’s internship at Shea was her first exposure to a unique workplace culture that truly feels like family. It also helped mold her into the loyal, dedicated, and responsive advocate that her clients have come to rely on. What she has subsequently experienced at Shea is a network of support and a professional family that she doesn’t take for granted.

Outside of the office, Allison enjoys spending time with family and friends. When she isn’t watching Big10 football and cheering for the Detroit Tigers, or attending her two boys’ soccer, basketball and football games, she is likely to be found in her kitchen, pursuing her passion for cooking and baking and daydreaming about owning her own bakery.

I believe strongly in the notion that ‘your future depends on what you do today.’ Every client and every family is different and has different goals—so everyone’s legacy will look a little different. For me, at the end of the day, a legacy is about what the client wants. Whether it’s a modest nest egg or a hard-earned fortune, making sure that their assets are protected and their loved ones are provided for is a privilege I never take lightly.
